Tea Bag
Comfort
$9
What it is
Chamomile, rose and vanilla. The one I reach for when the day has gone badly — soft, faintly sweet, no bitterness at the end.
The sensory experience
This is the tea equivalent of being handed a blanket. Chamomile does most of the work, but the rose keeps it from going saccharine, and the vanilla rounds off whatever’s left sharp. No bitterness at the end, however long you let it sit.
Materials
- Chamomile flowers
- Rose petals
- Vanilla bean
How it may be used
- Steep one bag in 8–10oz just-boiled water, 5–8 minutes
- Sweeten with honey if you want it softer still
- Best in the evening, when the day has gone sideways
Safety & use notes
- Contains chamomile — in the daisy/ragweed family. If you're allergic to ragweed, marigolds, or daisies, check with a doctor first.
- Not intended to replace medical care. Consult a doctor if pregnant, nursing, or on medication.
